Over the past three weeks, players from around Sub-Saharan African have been boxing, racing and building their way up the ACGL Fortnite Leaderboard in the attempt to qualify for the #MythicRoyale powered by MSI, Redragon and Sparkfox. The Mythic Royale finale, which kicks off this Saturday, will see the very first custom lobby tournament in the series. A total of 60 players will be competing for their shot at the first share of the series' R30,000 prize pool. All the action will come to you live, at 18:30 on Saturday (29 February). Be sure to get yourself prepared with all the details that you need to know below, including how to qualify for the Duo Mythic Royale in March. 

The Top 60 - Who made it?

The top 60 players on the ACGL Ranking Leaderboard for Fortnite have qualified for the Mythic Royale, but will be required to confirm their participation via email. All qualified players will be receiving an email today which provides them with some basic details and, most importantly, their RSVP details which will need to be sent in. Only once players have confirmed their participation will they be guaranteed a place in the Mythic Royale.

Where to watch

This weekend we are happy to announce that the matches will be live-streamed via the ACGL Youtube account. It will additionally be live on the Mythic Royale home page (if you want the Mythic Royale Avatar). 

The stream will be live at 18:30.

Prize pool

The February solos finale will feature a R3,000 cash prize pool, split as follows:

  • 1st Place: R1,500
  • 2nd Place: R750
  • 3rd Place: R500
  • 4th Place: R250 

The grind starts for the Duo Mythic Royale 

Registrations for the duo Mythic Royale are now live. The last available day for qualification will be on the 22nd of March. Players will compete for an R6,000 prize pool as they attempt to be one of the Top 30 ranked Duo teams. 

Rank will work exactly how it did for February, with players tasked to play in matchfinders and compete in tournaments to rank up. The total combined ELO for the duo team will determine who has the highest rank. There will, however, be an added decay on ELO which we will detail next week, along with a brand new rank!
