  • Every player(including all team members) must go to the tournament page during the Check In Period and click on the Check In button
  • You will also receive a notification reminding you to check in, clicking on that will take you to the tournament page
  • To make sure you have fully checked in, go to the Participants tab and make sure you are listed under Participants and not Unconfirmed


After Round 1, all Matches have a unique default start time that is dependent upon the time at which the Teams’ previous Round results were submitted. Matches must be started by their default start time and played until completion. Postponing matches is only at the discretion of Online Tournament staff


Quick Rules


  • You must play your opponent through the FIFA Ultimate Team Friendly Seasons section
  • Competitors will need to add each other as friends on PSN or XBL, it may take a few minutes for your friends list to update and show up on the FUT Friendly Seasons section
    • To do this go to FUT Hub -> Friendly Season
      • All games will use FUT Friendly Seasons default settings, including
        • Half Length: 6 Minutes
        • Stadium: FEWC Stadium
        • Tactical Defending Required
        • Pause Rules governed by in-game mechanics
  • Trainer must be turned off



The South African qualifiers will make use of the squad restrictions implemented by EA for their online qualifiers.

The following restrictions are in effect. Players may use any of the following variations:

Failure to comply will result in a forfeit for strike one and tournament disqualification for strike two. Opposing players to report (with photo evidence) before the end of the first half of a match or will have to accept the match result.

  • You must check the opponents team at the start of the game.
  • Competitors will not be allowed to use Training Consumables
  • All FIFA Pro Cards (99 rated cards given to Football Professionals in their own likeness) are strictly prohibited
  • Loan Players are strictly prohibited. We strongly advise players to check their opponent’s squad via 'Play a Friends Squad' if they think their opponent has subbed on an illegal player.
  • If you do not use the full allotment of players within an item range you can add any player from a lower item range. Example: If you do not use one of the 95+ items you can use an additional item rated up to 94



In the event the match is a draw on aggregate following the conclusion of regular time in the second game, the game will continue into extra time if it remains a draw following the two 15 minute in-game periods of extra time, the game will conclude in a penalty shoot-out.


  • We recommend that every game be recorded using the built-in recording functions on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One to be used in case of a dispute.
  • Players MUST screenshot the final score screen of each individual game showing the 90:00 play time. We will only ask for this if there is a dispute.
