Western Cape gamers, we have something for you on 8 to 10 July 2022. We will be at Somerset Mall for their inaugural gaming festival which will feature a variety of opportunities to win mall gift cards and products sponsored by Redragon and POCO.

Entry to the event is free. Attendees will be able to compete in various mini-tournaments all weekend, with prizes awarded for players at the top of the leaderboard, as well in random draws.

A FIFA 22 tournament on PlayStation 4 will be hosted on Sunday 10 July, and features a R5,000 prize pool of gift cards. Entry is limited to 64 participants and kicks off at 10h00. You can pre-register online, but you will need to check-in at the venue from 9h00. Walk-ins will be accepted at the venue if there is still space available.

Redragon is sponsoring the Keyboard Rebuild Race all weekend. Daily fastest time winners will win a Redragon keyboard, while one lucky participant will be drawn to win a keyboard at the end of the weekend. Get a bonus entry into the random draw by registering on the Redragon South Africa site over the weekend.

Looking for a fastest lap option? F1 22 will be running all weekend and the daily winner will be awarded a R1,000 mall gift card.

Smartphone company POCO is sponsoring the mobile events on offer over the weekend. Secure the weekend’s highest kills in a Free Fire round at the event, or the highest score for a run in Subway Surfers and you will walk away with a new POCO phone. A random draw from all participants will see another two POCO phones given away.

There are a number of other titles offering opportunities to win over the weekend, including Rocket League longest winning streak, daily Fortnite highest kills competitions and more.

There is plenty on offer at the Somerset Mall Gaming Fest, so head to the mall on 8 to 10 July and drop in. The event will be in the Food Court near Entrance 4.
