Jace Florance is a second-year medical student at Life Hospital group. At a young age Jace’s parents noticed he had an act for helping people. He was always kind to other kids and was very protective over his little sister, who was his best friend. Jace was a straight A student throughout his school career but at the age of sixteen, Jace’s sister was killed by a drunken driver. Jace kept up his good grades in school but started to cause a lot of trouble for himself and his family. His actions got him arrested for vandalism and aggravated assault. Jace was given the option to spend his time in Juvenile prison or a military school. He opted for military school, which ended up being the best decision he had made in a while. He finished off his high school career at the school and found a love for medicine. Using this passion, he trained as a field medic. After the completion of school, he took a one-year gap and spent it in northern Africa as a combat medic. He worked for just over a year as a combat medic before returning to South Africa and enrolling at Life Health group as a medical student.

Jace was at Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital working in the emergency rooms when the Scourge began. The hospital was a hot-zone at the beginning but became a safe haven once the military had secured it. The hospital reopened a few months after the outbreak started to help any residents still living in the city. Jace served as a doctor, security and medic if people radioed in for help. The hospital was eventually overrun by Husks and the survivors were rescued by the ACGL Rebellion.
