Via official statement from SAFA:

SAFA eCup, a FIFA 20 online qualifier suspended

South Africa – 20 March 2020 – SAFA eCup, the official qualifying programme for the second edition of the global FIFA eNations Cup has officially been suspended until further notice. FIFA and its license partner EA have suspended the global leg of the event as many FIFA member associations struggle to host events due to the global corona virus crisis.

Whilst the Mzansi event was online-only, the SAFA eCup Tournament was meant to kick off on 27 March on both PlayStation and Xbox using EA’s FIFA20 game has been suspended until all members are able to compete online and offline and we will wait for further communication from FIFA as the COVID-19 risks are minimised. Player health is important to all of us

The 2020 edition of the FIFA eNations Cup was scheduled to take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 22 to 24 May where twenty four nations would compete for the FIFA eNations Cup trophy and $40,000 in prize money, including country representatives receiving 200 points towards the FIFA Global Series by EA.
