This past weekend hosted the playoffs in the second season of Pro Evolution Soccer action. Over 40 players started the journey in March with the group stage, withhich saw the top 16 return on 19 April to compete for the R5,000 cash prize pool on offer.

Over the course of a gruelling double elimination bracket, it took a grand final reset to decide the champion. Boere eventually took the championship, but not before he battled back from the loser's bracket. In the grand final against Master_, Boere took two match wins to turn things around and secure R2,500 cash.

FINAL PLACING

The top four and their respective cash prize after the playoffs is as follows:

  • 1st Place: Boere (R2,500)
  • 2nd Place: Master_ (R1,500)
  • 3rd Place: Appollo (R600)
  • 4th Place: sahil10_za (R400)

We are pleased to announce that we will not be finished with PES 2020 just yet. On Saturday 25 April and Sunday 26 April, we are partnering with PES Society for a short(er) form tournament on PlayStation 4. Entry is free, and there is a R500 cash winner-takes-all thanks to the PES Society crew. You can find the Pro Evolution Soccer loving community on social media.
