The grind has been surreal during May, which has brought more Matchfinder matches, tournaments, and overall participation than previous months. Additionally, over 320 Fortnite players have applied to participate in the Mythic Royale which takes place this Sunday. Gamers from around Sub-Saharan Africa will be battling for their share of R3000 in cash prizes. Only 90 will qualify to play in the Grand Final and today you get to find out exactly who has made it in.   

Who Qualified? 

For May, it's been entirely up to you to see if you have what it takes to work your way up the ACGLRankings via the nightly Matchfinders and weekly tournaments in order to qualify as one of the Top 90 players in the Mythic Royale. Only by applying to enter will you have been considered. *Individuals that are on the waiting list will be added as participants for the tournament and be required to check-in to show their willingness to participate. They will only qualify to play if players in the Top 90 do not check-in for the tournament. 

Points

The Mythic Royale Solo will be played to the following scoring system: 

  • Win: 10 Points
  • 2nd - 5th : 7 Points
  • 6th - 15th : 5 Points
  • 16th - 25th : 3 Points

Each Elimination will be equal to 1 point. 

Live Stream Update

In the past tournaments, we have allowed players to live to stream their own point-of-view (POV). Based on direct feedback and conversations with the community, we have decided that players will be required to stream unlisted and contact admin@acgl.co.za with their mobile number if they wish to stream. We will be sending those players a basic stream pack and a guideline on how to use the graphics. Additionally, we will be sharing the links to those streamers channels (not their live broadcast) via our Live Stream.

We want to ensure that the players are highlighted and their skill is shown to a wider audience. 

Where to Watch

This weekend we are happy to announce that the matches will be live-streamed via the ACGL Youtube account. It will additionally be live on the Mythic Royale home page (if you want to secure the Mythic Royale Avatar). 

The stream will be live at 14:00 on Sunday 31 May.

Prize pool

The May solos finale will feature a R3,000 cash prize pool, split as follows:

  • 1st Place: R1,500
  • 2nd Place: R750
  • 3rd Place: R500
  • 4th Place: R250 

Let the Grind for the Duo in June Begin! 

Registrations for the June Duo Mythic Royale are now live. The competition will have a total prize pool of R6,000! The last day available for qualification for the Duo Finale (27th of June) will be on the 21st of June. 

How Mythic Royale works

  • Apply for Entry for your team for the monthly finale
  • Sign up and compete in the regular Fortnite cups to earn Elo
  • Use the Fortnite matchfinders to secure additional Elo for your ranking
  • The Top 90 players (according to combined ELO rank) will be invited
  • Compete in the finale and… win.
