Following a thrilling first season of Mortal Kombat 11 action, we are pleased to announce that the second season will be starting soon. On the line will be a R8,500 cash prize pool with the battle for the cash being played online.

Three online qualifiers will be followed by an online grand finale in November. The weekend's grand finale action will be streamed live.

Registrations are now open. The qualifiers will be a double elimination best-of-three format, with all games played on PS4.

Dates:

  • 27 October: Qualifier 1
  • 3 November: Qualifier 2
  • 10 November: Qualifier 3 (Last Chance Qualifier)
  • 17 November: Grand Finale 

The top three players from the first two qualifiers will be joined by the top two from the final qualifier. These eight players will then battle for the cash up for grabs.

Prize pool breakdown: 

  • 1st Place: R5,000
  • 2nd Place: R2,000
  • 3rd Place: R1,000
  • 4th Place: R500

This second season of African Mortal Kombat 11 action is brought to you in partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and the game's local distributor TeamFinity.


The tournament is open to all residents in Sub-Saharan Africa. Some terms and conditions will apply, and players will need to be 18 years or older to compete. The tournament will be run on PlayStation®4 using the NetherRealm Studio’s developed fighting game, Mortal Kombat 11.
