We're at Sun Exhibits in GrandWest (Cape Town) on 24 and 25 February, where we will be at hosting a variety of gaming and esports activities.

This is the first in our series of AfrEsports events at the venue, with the aim to keep growing and adding elements to ensure an engaging event for gamers and geek-culture aficionados of all kinds.

Two main tournaments with R40,000 up for grabs feature at this first event - Call of Duty: WWII and FIFA 18. For those looking for other title options, we recently announced the MWEB sponsored cash-prize mini-tournaments.

But for those keen on even shorter, quickfire opportunities to win, Apex Interactive will be sponsoring prizes for the King of the Hill, racing challenge and general giveaways.

You will need a R50 Day Play Pass to compete in the King of the Hill tournaments which will feature Injustice 2, Tekken 7, Rocket League and more. Get on a winning streak against a flow of opponents and you could bad some swag. The longer the winning streak, the better the goodies.

If you're just keen to watch or browse, the good news is, you can do so for free. Yes, we will be allowing you access to the event, the vendors, the Metal Gear Survive launch, the racing challenge and limited giveaways for nothing at all.

APEX KING OF THE HILL

Every few hours there will be a new King of the Hill title to compete in sponsored by Apex Interactive and their partners. The competitor limit is restricted only by time, so when the timeslot is over, the next title will start. No check-in is required before the start and competitors will be accepted as they arrive to compete in a first-come-first-served basis. Titles and games will be rotated and played on either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. To participate, you will need a R50 Day Play Pass (available at the venue).

Racing fans can compete in the fastest lap competition on Project CARS 2 over four sessions (10h00 to 13h00 and 13h00 to close each day) on the weekend. The winner of each session will bag themselves a Spur voucher and Apex Interactive sponsored item, with the overall winner walking away with additional items on top of that. Entry to the racing is open to all event attendees. Please note that session winners will not be able to win multiple sessions.

GENERAL GAMING
