Game Settings

  • Timer: 240 seconds
  • Stage Select: Random
  • Interactables: On
  • Hidden Curser is allowed 
  • Max Ping: 120ms / 1bar
  • Competitive Mode: Enabled by both players 

Match Procedure

The following steps outline the process of playing a Match.

  1. Players select their sides.
  2. Players select their characters. Either Player may invoke Double Blind
  3. Character Selection.
  4. The players play the first Game of the Match.
  5. The losing player of the preceding Match may choose to change characters and variations.
  6. The next Game is played.
  7. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for all subsequent Games until the Match is complete.

Side Selection

Players may mutually agree who sits on the left and right side, corresponding to Player 1 and Player 2 respectively. If Players cannot agree, the match host.

 

Connection

Players with a ping higher than 120ms or a 1 bar connection, will have to forfeit. A lag test should be played before every match to test your connection to your opponent.

Matches

  • Please note for all forfeit or dispute claims that evidence must be submitted to an ACGL admin for a ruling to be made.
  • Only communication via the ACGL Discord chat lobby, Match Discussion and ACGL Personal Messages will be accepted.

Grace Period
A player will Forfeit the Match if they are not present by 15 minutes after a Match’s default start time (Grace Period). Players will be forced to start a Game at the end of a Grace Period.

Delays
Players may not delay the start of a match beyond its scheduled start time, without the approval of a tournament official. Players may delay a match between games for up to five minutes. Players can request that a tournament official enforce this five minute time limit.

Default Start Time

All round one (1) matches have the same default start time. All Matches have a standard start time that is listed on the Tournament Overview on the front page of the touranment. Matches must be started by their default start time and played until completion.

Players that have not completed their matches before the scheduled start time of the next round of fixtures must contact admin via the ACGL Discord Channel
Players that do not contact admin via the ACGL Discord channel will have their fixtures forfeit once the 'Grace Period' of the following fixture expires. 
 
Double Forfeit

If a match is not played and neither player contacts the admin requesting the forfeit or win, both players will be knocked out of the tournament.
 
Seeding

Players will be seeded according to their game XP at of the close of registration. Seeds are done in ascending order. The higher seed is determined by the player with the seed closest to zero (0). 
Example: Seed four (4) is a higher seed than seed ten (10). 
 
Game Types in Rounds

Game types will be set for each round of the bracket. These game types must be played and may not be substituted out. 

Outside Players

After the match lobby has been created, only eligible players and staff members may be invited/join. If an ineligible player joins a game, the game must be ended if the player affects the game and/or doesn't leave within 30 seconds of joining. If a Player is found to have invited an ineligible player to a game, they will forfeit the game.

Disconnections

If a player disconnects within the first fifteen (15) seconds, the game should be ended.  All players must leave the match to end the game. 

If a player disconnects after the first fifteen (15) seconds, they may forfeit the round/game in question. 

Hosting

The Host is the Player who must create the Custom Game and ensure that the proper Settings and Map are used. The Host should set their party player limit to match the number of players for the specified match. (Example: Player Limit 8 for a 4 vs 4 match.)
 
The higher seeded player at match time must host the first game. The lower seeded player will host the second game. This will alternate until all maps have been played. 
 
Hosting players should create the custom game. As the hosting player changes over the course of a match, the new hosting player should leave the custom game and create a new one. A lag test should be performed before the start of each game to ensure all players have an acceptable player to player connection.

Players in Sub Saharan Africa that are playing outside of South Africa will forfeit host to the South African player who has priority of host for all matches. 
 
If a player's connection to the server becomes unreasonable during a game, the game must still be played. The lag incident should be reported to tournament support immediately following that game.

If the host incorrectly ends a game, they may forfeit the game.

Lag

In the event that lag occurs, the game should be completed. The player(s) that are experiencing lag should take video proof, and provide it to tournament live support after the game has concluded. If lag is occuring, it is recommended that multiple players provide proof of the lag. Leaving the game prematurely may result in a forfeit of the round or game. 

No Shows

All no-shows must be verified by a tournament official. The No Show grace period time is 15 minutes after the match's original start time. For example, if a match is scheduled for 10:00 PM, the no-show time for this match would be 10:15 PM. In order to contact a Tournament Official use the Discord Live Support.
 
Time Limit

Players must report the match results within 10 minutes of its completion. Failure to report the match results on time or respond to any messages that you receive from a tournament official may result in the player receiving the loss. 
 
Report Match Score

Please report the match results on your match page which can be found under the Bracket Tab on the tournament page .To report the match results, players must report the match score accurately, with overall maps won being reported.

Pages
