The stage is set, the teams are registered and EGE Cape Town is ready to host the most explosive Call of Duty tournament to date with R46 000 in cash prizes. Today we announce the participating teams, the schedule and stream details and everything that you need to know about this weekends action. 

The Teams 

After registrations closed at 21:00 last night (26th of July), we managed to secure 16 teams for the EGE Cape Town Lan Tournament. Players from across South Africa will be making their way to CTICC over the course of the next two days to claim their shot at glory and the R46 000 in cash that is up for grabs.

Schedule 

Friday - The first day of play will allow players to get some much-needed practice time on LAN ahead of the big weekend. The Friday will play host to scrims and strategy sessions as the players get accustomed to the LAN environment. 

Saturday - Groups and Knockouts 

We kick off the groups with four teams being enlisted into four groups. The players will compete in a best of five round robin format. The top two teams from each group will progress through to the Final Double Elimination Rounds and remain competing for the prize pool. The teams which finish at the bottom of the group will participate in the Plate, single elimination, tournament. 

Sunday Stream Day

The Sunday marks the start of the ACGL stream for the EGE Call of Duty: WWII Tournament. You will be able to catch all of the action on the ACGL YouTube account. 

The schedule is down below: 

  • 10:00 - Winner's Bracket Final 
  • 11:30 - Loser's Bracket Final 
  • 13:00 - Grand final
