As we roll into the holiday season and our planned website update, it’s time to reflect on the recent ladders we hosted.

As with so many things we do, there was an element of utilizing the period to test some new ladder concepts in preparation for additional elements in 2019. If you participated, thank you. The time you put in has given us valuable data and information for our future plans.

The number of teams that registered for the PlayStation 4 Black Ops 4 ladder was quite unprecedented. It was unfortunate that many remained inactive but with over 70 teams on the participant list, it seems the title has great support locally.

But who took the top spots after the ladders closed on 30 November? These teams did:

Black Ops 4 | 5v5

PlayStation 4

  • Participants: 71

Xbox One

  • Participants: 30

PC

  • Participants: 4

Fortnite | 2v2

Console

PC

  • Participants: 34

FIFA 19 | 1v1

PlayStation 4

  • Participants: 36

Xbox One

In 2019, the ladders will live alongside the traditional cups and leagues, and will be used to gauge interest in new or requested titles. Remember though, participant numbers are great but actual engagement will ultimately determine the validity of titles going forward.
